Celebrating the end of the beautiful A’s first year at university, we decided to celebrate with the $45 prix fixe lunch at Marque (voted 70 in the world on the S.Pellegrino list). It’s crazy value from Mark Best…three innovative courses, including complimentary amuse bouche, their famous Sauternes Custard to get you ready for dessert and the most amazing hand made petit fours with coffee. Obviously you will add some beautiful wine, salad, water etc to the bill but it’s still great value.
But that’s not what this post is about. A is gorgeous and she ordered this cocktail, which is also gorgeous, at The Winery after lunch.
Called a Giggly Rose, it is the prettiest looking cocktail I have seen. It tastes like it looks – minty, rosy and boozy.
